A Bitter Ateneo Suppoter(NU crushes the Ateneo)

Ateneo was off with an awkward start and NU was in their tiptpop shape. Kiefer Ravena has an injury but he still played during the 1st half. Nico Elorde's nose bled. All of the Eagles tried their best but Parks dominated.

End of the game..
Ateneo54
NU 64
😡
For the first time I can't manage my temper..
I wanna speak up already.
NU might have won against   The DEFENDING CHAMPS BUT IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ateneo is still Ateneo!!!
They are the 5peat champions.
They had difficulties a lot of difficulties!!
Nico Elorde's effort during the game was unexpected I was expecting a lot from Juami Tiongson but he was not able to. Kiefer is injured what can we do? He needs to rest.
I'm f**king angry. I'm sorry if I'll start to use harsh words but frantically i can't control my temper anymore.. All of the NU Fans were cheering so badly and I wanna shout at them and make batok-batok them

I'm sorry but this is what I freakin' feel.
I was a NU fan, during the V-league.. Yes I am. Until now. But that was just in volleyball particularly in V-League only. There was no La Salle team in the finals. I was going for UST but they didn't make it.

But for UAAP
It comes down to this:
Volleyball- Will always be for DLSU or UST
Basketball- of course ADMU but if i'll choose the teams that would be able to beat Ateneo, it should be UST or FEU or La Salle only.

Pride and ego i guess, but NO!

Ateneo fans out there and the community and the team and particularly those players who had and had not  played their game are feeling like shit.

Common, tell me which team will be happy to be beaten in their first game and they know themselves that they are not in their normal condition..

BUT!!

Ateneo will win!
Ateneo will rise!
Ateneo will fly!
Ateneo! One Big Fight!!!!!

P.S.
Sorry for being a bit harsh. I can't get ahold of myself
No offense NU fans

The Blue Eagles: To Fly Higher or To Lose Flight?

For five consecutive years, the Ateneo De Manila University Blue Eagles took flight at the UAAP Basketball Court. They were unbeatable and unpredictable. Both they're offense and defense made their winning streak unstoppable.

After 5 consecutive seasons, Will they still be able to dominate the court? Will they be able to defend their title? Will they continue flying higher or begin to lose their flight?

Coach Norman Black, now the head coach of the Talk'n Text Basketball Team, was one of the main reasons on how this Katipunan-based  team managed to make history not only for their school but the UAAP as well. But after his farewell to the team and a new coach, Will the eagles' new head coach Bo Perasol be able to defend and mark another history in the UAAP?

Nico Salva started and finished  his UAAP career with flying colors. He completed his 5 set of rings. He was team captain last year and now no more traces of him in the team. Greg Slaughter, their tallest asset since he started playing for the team, also finished his 5 playing years already.

No more Nico Salva. No more Greg Slaughter. No more Coach Norman Black.

These are the key losses of the team.

What is really up to for this team?

"#ProveThemWrong" This hashtag was used by Kiefer Ravena in one of his tweets

I believe this hashtag is really what all fans, the Ateneo community and of course the Team wants to do. One hashtag, this is their answer and comment for all the fuss going around and being talked about.

Many experts and analysts of sports, especially regarding the UAAP, thinks that this is a year for the other teams. Particularly the UE Red Warriors and the NU Bulldogs. This is because of the performance they made during the FilOil Cup. As we remember, the Blue eagles left the cup. They didn't finish it. This was due to many of their players injured.

Many say, it was not good of aAteneo to leave and just say goodbye to the cup just like that. But for me Ateneo's decision was fair enough. They are playing reall smart. You can see with that decision that they really are aiming for a 6-peat. If you know what I mean?

Today they will have their first game and their up against the NU Bulldogs, one of the top contenders for the crown.

I believe that the defending champs will manage their difficulties this year. They may have key losses but they have rookies up their sleeves. They have Chris Newsome, Anton Asistio, Earl Murphy and others(because I'm not so sure withe names of the other rookies)

Jerie Pingoy, the cager from FEU-FERN, will not be able to join the team for a while. But I/WE all believe that Ateneo can make it. Even without him for a while.

Kiefer Ravena is still there. Juami Tiongson still there.Von Pessumal still there. Ryan Buenafe still there. Nico Elorde is still there. Salva,Slaughter and Coach Norman may have left already but look at the line-up. We can never know what will really happen. They are smart players. They are all standouts in their respective ways.

They will all keep on improving and proving that they are the 5-peat defending champions.

All we can do now is to support them in their quest for 6-peat
Cheers and Yells
GO ATENEO!!!
ONE BIG FIGHT

Tigers vs Archers

Tigers vs Archers

Yes, this was one of the most exciting opening games for UAAP. It was really an intense game and nevertheless eye-catching.

"It was a war between the two Tengs" as all the respective viewers said and kept on saying. For me? Yes it is a war. But NO between the two Tengs. It was a war between the two teams. Every player that those teams used for the game utilized their skills and work hand in hand for every point they garner. They help each other and unite like a normal team will do. It will always be like that. In every team there should be camaradery to have that goal and that is to win.

As I've said the game was definitely intense. It was impressive and both teams,I believe, did their best.

What can I say towards the game?

Well, I have a LOT of comments
But let's cut it short

"It was a great game for both UST and La Salle. UST started very strong and they continued it throughout. La Salle had a lot of awful shots from the start but they still found their way and managed to be strong enough to cut the lead and get to overtime. La Salle 0-1 UST 1-0"

"I'm just worried to some UST players especially the one who was carried off the court. I hope none of them got a major injury. I am also worried with the performance of Jeron Teng. I can't see his confidence and also the spark like last year. I hope we can see alot from him througout the season since he was ROY last year. Jeric Teng is ,no doubt, trying to get the championship in his last Playing Year for UAAP. Freethrow Shootings improved alot in the UST side while in La Salle? It needs a lot more."

And those are my comments

Well, I really got worried with those UST players. I don't want to create rumors but if I'm not mistaken I "think" Clark Bautista was experiencing pain in his thigh or I'm not really sure.
I also am worried with the USTe player who was carried off the court then I don't know already.

Jeron Teng being fouled-out.
(Kind'a Crazy)
I believe he was really not in his self that game. He was unlike the "king archer" I saw last year. Many are expecting a lot from him. Maybe he's being very worried and got distracted with those expectations a nd kinda made his mind a bit off beat.(maybe)

I believe the rookies of La Salle like Almond Vosostros and Jason Perkins are doing a good job. A lot of 3s from Vosostros and Perkins contributes a lot to the team. They are key rookies for this team I think. I just wanna see Kib Montalbo play.
LA Revilla definitely have the experience. (Well, Why did Thomas Torres changed his jersey number??? :D <3)
La Salle did a good game. They all made big efforts.
(I just wanna see Thomas Torres doing a lot more of his 3 point shots:D)

One thing is, This is just one game I guess and it's still the opening games. Every team will improve and defy their weaknesses. The Growling Tigers is indeed a team to watch out. All their players are pumped and are just getting ready for that crown to grab, and For The Green Archers, I know they'll keep on improving and work harder. This one loss might be their stepping stone to victory.

Let's keep on supporting them!
